I’m blessed to live very close to Lake Pontchartrain so some days I like to head out on a meditative walk just to see what I can see.

It was a gloomy looking day during a global pandemic, but these two brightened it up.

I was honored to be asked to create headshots for the powerful physical performer, Grace Booth. She’s very captivating onstage, which made creating her portrait so easy.

For about five years now I’ve been the official photographer for the Tulane University Marching Band (TUMB). If you’ve ever been to a home football game you’ve seen me running through campus and amongst the students’ section getting photos of this enthusiastic band keeping the fans hyped.

Phil Cramer and Will Bowling, the country/folk duo known as Steele Creek, wanted to make some live/one-take music videos in an old French Quarter home and I was too happy to help.

Happy Halloween from Mondo Bizarro. For years we would produce holiday cards for our friends and fans celebrating Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and more. As we got busier with running the company we got away from the practice. If only Instagram had been around at the time. But we’re back! Look out Arbor Day.

Having been a martial artist for 30 years now, it was such a pleasure to combine my love of combat sports with my love of photography. Boxing combines drama with athleticism like no other sport. These are some photos from Swarm Enterprises’ The Sting Ring evening of fights at The Sugar Mill in New Orleans.

Recently my family and I took a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado to hike through the mountains and visit the land from which my grandmother came. The sites were awe inspiring, but the altitude was difficult to handle for the first few days for swamp people like us. As it was summer the snow was scarce, but as you’ll see that didn’t stop some locals from finding a place to ski and snowboard.

I had a good time creating some promotional photos for my friend’s (@philmakingthings) new musical venture one morning last week. Follow him now so you can hear about his upcoming gigs. That way you can see his show and be able to brag to all your future friends by saying you saw him way back before he was super famous. 

Last weekend Mondo Bizarro held its second Place Based Training Immersion. Shout out to those who participated and a big thanks to Kiyoko McCrae, Hannah Pepper Cunningham, and Monique Verdin for leading discussions, making us sweat, and taking us on a tour of South Louisiana.

For many years now I’ve worked with the Jesuits in South Louisiana - creating fundraising videos, shooting portraits & documenting events. One of the most interesting annual events is the ordination ceremony at Holy Name of Jesus Church on St. Charles (my parents got married there!) where seminarians take the final step to becoming priests. These are just a few photos from this year’s ordination and reception.

Firefighters are awesome. I’ve never heard a complaint made against a fire department the way we hear complaints against police departments. They show up, put their lives at risk, save others and are woefully underpaid for it.
